FAQ

Does my company need an audit?

AG (companies limited by shares) and GmbH (limited liability companies) are in principle subject to an audit requirement. With fewer than ten full-time positions on annual average, the limited audit can be waived with the consent of all shareholders or members (Opting-out, Art. 727a para. 2 CO).

When is an ordinary rather than a limited audit required?

When the company exceeds two of the following thresholds in two consecutive years: total assets of CHF 20 million, revenue of CHF 40 million, 250 full-time positions. Likewise for public companies and where there is an obligation to prepare consolidated financial statements (Art. 727 CO).

What does a limited audit cost?

The fee depends on size, complexity and the quality of the bookkeeping. After a brief look at your most recent annual financial statements, you receive a binding fixed-fee quote.

Which documents do you need?

Annual financial statements with notes, trial balance, account statements as at the balance sheet date, lists of receivables and payables, inventory, material contracts as well as minutes of the general meeting and the board of directors. You receive the complete checklist with the engagement confirmation.

Can you also keep our accounts?

For audit engagements, we deliberately refrain from doing so in order to safeguard our independence.

Is the company licensed by the FAOA?

Licensing as an audit expert has been applied for with the Federal Audit Oversight Authority FAOA. The audits are led by a licensed audit expert.

Do you also audit digitally?

Yes. We clarify queries by telephone or video.
